D&G offered their services to create a combined Hydraft sprinkler main conversion, using 70 metres of 315mm SDR 11 HDPE pipework.

The project was commissioned for the purpose of diverting the main feed from the pump house, round a new extension that was being constructed imminently.

Within the installation D&G used FM approved PE pipes and fittings, which included pressure reducing valves, fire hydrants and inline isolation valves.

After exposing the area to be worked on, it became apparent that an onsite fabrication was required to install a 90 degree T-Junction using 315mm SDR 11 pipework. D&G were able to offer this service on site, ensuring the project could go ahead, without any disruption, or impact on the schedule.

As with all work, D&G provided a quote for the scope of work. At this stage, CAD drawings were available on request. All work was then completed on time and within budget.

In total, D&G’s work was spread across 3 days. They were able to complete their proposed work on time and within budget, even when factoring in a bespoke fabrication.

On completion of the job, D&G ensured they adhered to their usual high standards, by spiral wrapping the pipe in 500 increments using the correct identification marker tape.

To complete the job, they then backfilled over the pipes and placed magnetic tape 200mm above the crown of the pipe, so it can be identified in the future, without compromising the pipework.
