D&G Utilities took on a low pressure gas main and services installation project in the centre of Liverpool City.
Work commenced on the site in February, with the excavation in preparation for installing the PE Gas pipe. Once the excavation work was complete, D&G installed a 4-way TM from the connection point, across a 4-way junction to the termination point of the main. This was fabricated to the design plan.

Although challenging, the team were able to adequately progress through the project, whilst abiding by the social distancing guidelines.
Offering a full turn-key solution, D&G supplied and installed 270mtrs x 315mm PE LP main and service, terminating with a 10” ECV. In addition to excavating and reinstating all groundwork on completion.

As work progressed into the second phase of the project. D&G put in place traffic control measures so they could safely and effectively complete their work.
It’s important to mention, there was a break in the project due to the COVID lockdown. When work resumed on the site, D&G exercised social distancing in line with the governments and HSE’s guidance.

Although challenging, the team were able to adequately progress through the project, whilst abiding by the social distancing guidelines.

The installation team excavated, installed the PE Gas pipe, completed successful welds and reinstated all their work on Vernon Road.
